I've been wanting to do some new designs with black swans for a while. I had to think about it really carefully because it is such a strong subject colourwise. It is just so dominant.
I decided on a toile type of pattern, a little bit kitch which I love, but without crossing into downright bad taste.

I'm happy with the result. I might use both to renovate an old chair I have stored away in the cellar.
The last contest I entered this year was sponsored by the One-Yard Wonders books by Storey Publishing.
Contestants had to download a template for a little girl's Tshirt, and decorate it. The theme was "Under the Sea".
This is my entry.
Riviera Tee
I haven't tested it yet and it is too late for Christmas this year. I'll do it next year and then I'll have something to blog about again.
Society6 has added cushion covers to the range of printed goods they offer.
These are now for sale at my shop.
The print is on both sides and they come with a zipper. I think they look rather good, and I could not sell them for that price ($20) if I made them myself.
I've entered these designs in two new contests promoted by Spoonflower.
"Flights of Fancy" is sponsored by Mollie Makes a UK craft Magazine, and it is a palette restricted contest.
Summer Sky
"Nasher / Matisse" is sponsored by the Nasher Museum of Art which houses a collection of Matisse's paintings. Also a palette restricted contest.
A la Matisse
Both fabrics are now for sale at my Spoonflower shop.
